Architectural heritage covers all types

of historic building, and groups of buildings, that form a part of our collective cultural heritage. We are experts in communicating the cultural values of all types of asset whether listed or unlisted, formal or vernacular, and can provide research, heritage statements, impact assessments, as well as design and access statements for individual projects.

A holistic approach, including buildings, designed landscapes, urban and rural spaces, and all the evidence that past generations have left within our environment. We provide specialist services in the understanding of historic places through research, analysis and character appraisal, as well as providing advice, policy and recommendations for the management of change to sensitive places.

A sustained and nourished historic environment can contribute to economic, cultural and social recovery in a myriad of ways, through managing change to safeguard or enhance heritage values, and identify community need. Arris collaborates on strategic visioning for area-based placemaking projects, NLHF funding bids, and conservation management planning for complex places.
